Hostmonster Vs. Godaddy Web Hosting

HostMonster Vs. Godaddy

So you’ve decided you need a website and now you need to find the right web hosting company to host it. You’ve probably already heard of some of the larger web hosting companies but have finally narrowed it down to either Hostmonster or Godaddy. Both HostMonster and Godaddy are well known and well respected web hosting companies. But which one is better?

Hostmonster is typically a better web hosting company than GoDaddy in terms of quality and speed. Godaddy usually has limited features, but does boast a slightly better price. None the less, both companies often serve their hosting plans around the same price so price is usually not an issue. Historically, Hostmonster provides better customer support, faster servers, and a huge variety of features. For full details on hostmonster, visit our hostmonster full review.

GoDaddy is probably one of the most popular web hosting & domain name companies in the world. They often make it very convenient to order your web hosting and domain name at the same time. However lack of speed, website building features, and limited bandwidth and disk space, reduce its chances of competing with Hostmonster as a worthy advisory.

In conclusion, while GoDaddy is continuing to improve their web hosting features with upgraded servers and 4GH hosting plans, HostMonster has a reputation of being a better quality web host. Godaddy does offer excellent prices on domains and is one of the top domain registrars in the world. It is often a good idea to buy your domain names through GoDaddy, yet host your website through Hostmonster.

Why I really love HostMonster

HostMonster web hosting

As a web designer and developer, HostMonster is by far my favorite web host. The main reason for this, is that HostMonster has a perfect balance of price, quality, and features. Actually Hostmonster has pretty much every feature you could possibly need for a small to medium sized business or individual website. They have a great backend control panel, called cPanel, which really makes it easy to maintain your website. With Hostmonster, you can easily add other domains to your web hosting account, check and set up your email accounts, manage FTP information, browse website statistics, and install 3rd party software like WordPress or Drupal.

As I mentioned before, price is another reason why I like Hostmonster. They are affordably priced around $5.95 each month. This is a pretty good price, especially considering the performance, features, and great support that HostMonster provides. HostMonster also does not raise the price on you after your first year like many other web hosting companies do.

For those of you that are new to Hosting, support is always a good feature to have and Hostmonster has great support. Their support team is always very friendly and helpful. I’ve called them several times (primarily for help on how to migrate WordPress SQL databases over) and they were very helpful. One of the times, the support team actually did it for me! I was really amazed at that as not many hosting companies would do that. However you most likely wont even need to contact their support as their hosting options are really easy to figure out.

So those are the reasons I really love HostMonster. I wanted to add this article to your website as Hostmonster is often underrated.

Should I buy web hosting from HostMonster?

Is hostmonster a good web host? I thought i would ask here before i buy a web hosting plan from them. It looks like they offer all of the good features that the top web hosts have to offer. I found some cheaper web hosts, but hostmonster looks like its got a pretty good rep. I just need web hosting for my small business website. Should I buy from them? Anyone have any bad experiences with them?

What web host should I use?

I plan to start working on a website soon to display my artwork, since I have had several clients ask me why I don’t have one! I will also be buying a domain name. Can anyone recommend a good web host that makes things easy to set up and maintain for a complete novice like myself? I have heard of GoDaddy and HostMonster, but am wondering if there are others that are just as good. Just something simple, elegant, and basic that I can maintain.

Which web hosting to use? GoDaddy vs Hostmonster?

Scenario: I have a website that I need new web hosting for. I run a small business. I probably get about 200 visitors a day, browsing and buying items on my website. I’m thinking of either getting Godaddy or Hostmonster as a web host. Which one is better?

Solution: Read our reviews on our home page. We feel that HostMonster is a much better web hosting company. Godaddy is great for buying domains, but we would recommend HostMonster instead of Godaddy for the web hosting. For your situation, we would recommend buying a domain name through GoDaddy and buy the web hosting plan through HostMonster. You can sign up with HostMonster here.

What is the fastest web host in terms of download speed?

I need to find a fast and reliable web host. I have a website with very large files that are meant for downloading. I need a web host that can quickly load my website and allow the viewers to download my files. What are some really fast web hosts?

what host should i choose from justhost, hostgator, ipage or hostmonster?

i am starting a small web-based business with a wordpress blog and can’t decide on what offer is best. I am looking for best uptime, easy cpanel site setup, e-commerce support state of the art, lots of advertising credits for Google and social media like FB. What web host would any of you guys suggest?

Godaddy vs Hostmonster?

Hey guys, I am starting my own web design service website. I’m pretty new to websites. I mean i know how to build them, but do not have much experience with web hosting yet. This is my first time launching my website onto a web host. I know both HostMonster and GoDaddy are very popular. What do you think about the two? Which web host should i sign up with? Godaddy or Hostmonster? (I want a web host that is cheap, but it also needs to be reliable. It would be embarrassing if my web design website went down because of bad hosting).

Looking for a good business web host with fast/reliable email support?

Right now we’re using Network Solutions, and we’ve noticed that the email can be really slow and it takes a long time for messages to transfer. We also require remote MYSQL connections.
Right now I’ve got my eye on Hostgator or HostMonster. They seem professional and look pretty good for the money. Anybody know how reliable the email is with these companies?
