Finding the best web hosting provider can be frustrating for the average, not so technologically savvy, person. There are so many hosting companies out there and each one provides different plans, features, and prices. But what is the best hosting plan for you and which web hosting provider should you purchase it from? Welcome to the BWHP blog. This blog is dedicated for those who are not so technologically savvy and need a simple, straight forward guide to help them find the best web hosting company that best suits their needs. If you own a website, you probably know by now that you will need a web hosting plan to host your web site. Web hosting is simply where you purchase a place online from a hosting provider (for example, HostMonster, HostGator, GoDaddy, etc) to store your website and make it available for everyone to view online. Without a web host, your website will not be visible for anyone else to view.
There are many web hosting providers and also many different web hosting plans. Generally, many web hosting plans differ in terms of price, available bandwidth, storage space, ability to host multiple domains, number of provided email addresses, and so on. All these technical terms may seem confusing at first, but don’t worry, that’s what this website is here for. At BWHP, we’ve come to find that most web hosting companies offer similar features and options, yet there are a few web hosting providers that are better than others. Basically you will need to choose the right plan and hosting company that fits your needs. On our home page, we have listed the top web hosting companies and providers that are best suited for the average user. But for additional information about web hosting, feel free to read the below blog posts on various web hosting topics.

We’ve received a number of emails asking us what is the best web hosting for Google Adsense? For those of you who are not familiar as to what Adsense is, it’s simply an advertising program from Google where website owners can get paid for running Google ads on their website. Adsense is a good program and perhaps the best CPC (cost per click) advertising company out there. Website owners can make a nice extra income by signing up with Adsense and running it on their websites. For some websites with large amount of traffic, Adsense can even earn website owners enough income to live off of. However for most users, it’s a nice supplemental income to acquire and definitely worth running on your website. Essentially website owners get paid every time a viewer clicks on a Google ad on their website.
This is brings me back to question about web hosting and Google Adsense. So what web host should you use for Google Adsense? Well in short, Google really doesn’t care about which web hosting company you use. While the Adsense program does have some strict guidelines about the websites they are allowed to be shown on, the type of web hosting company is not required. Any web hosting company can be used with Google Adsense. To run Adsense on your website, you must simply have a decent website that is up and running and adheres to the Adsense requirements listed by Google. In terms of specifications for a web host, any web hosting company that supports javascript & html (practically every paid web hosting company) will be supported to run Google Adsense. There may be some restrictions on free web hosts though. Often times, free web hosts will not allow your own ads as they will only allow themselves to run ads on your website. This is how they get reimbursed for hosting your website.
What about Google Adwords? Does Adwords require a certain web hosting company? The same answer goes to Adwords as well. Adwords is the same advertising program by Google, however it is where website owners go to advertise their website instead of promoting others. Website owners will naturally pay Google to list their website on Google search engines and Google search partners, such as other websites running Adsense. For both programs, a specific type of web hosting company is not needed. Any paid web host will suffice.
Keep in mind that while Google does not really care which web host you are using, during the application process for both Adsense and Adwords, your website must be constantly up and running or your Adsense/Adwords account will be disapproved. Therefore, a reliable web host is important for running Adsense. Be sure to check the top rated web hosting companies on our home page to find a reliable web host.

So you’ve decided you need a website and now you need to find the right web hosting company to host it. You’ve probably already heard of some of the larger web hosting companies but have finally narrowed it down to either Hostmonster or Godaddy. Both HostMonster and Godaddy are well known and well respected web hosting companies. But which one is better?
Hostmonster is typically a better web hosting company than GoDaddy in terms of quality and speed. Godaddy usually has limited features, but does boast a slightly better price. None the less, both companies often serve their hosting plans around the same price so price is usually not an issue. Historically, Hostmonster provides better customer support, faster servers, and a huge variety of features. For full details on hostmonster, visit our hostmonster full review.
GoDaddy is probably one of the most popular web hosting & domain name companies in the world. They often make it very convenient to order your web hosting and domain name at the same time. However lack of speed, website building features, and limited bandwidth and disk space, reduce its chances of competing with Hostmonster as a worthy advisory.
In conclusion, while GoDaddy is continuing to improve their web hosting features with upgraded servers and 4GH hosting plans, HostMonster has a reputation of being a better quality web host. Godaddy does offer excellent prices on domains and is one of the top domain registrars in the world. It is often a good idea to buy your domain names through GoDaddy, yet host your website through Hostmonster.

As a web designer and developer, HostMonster is by far my favorite web host. The main reason for this, is that HostMonster has a perfect balance of price, quality, and features. Actually Hostmonster has pretty much every feature you could possibly need for a small to medium sized business or individual website. They have a great backend control panel, called cPanel, which really makes it easy to maintain your website. With Hostmonster, you can easily add other domains to your web hosting account, check and set up your email accounts, manage FTP information, browse website statistics, and install 3rd party software like WordPress or Drupal.
As I mentioned before, price is another reason why I like Hostmonster. They are affordably priced around $5.95 each month. This is a pretty good price, especially considering the performance, features, and great support that HostMonster provides. HostMonster also does not raise the price on you after your first year like many other web hosting companies do.
For those of you that are new to Hosting, support is always a good feature to have and Hostmonster has great support. Their support team is always very friendly and helpful. I’ve called them several times (primarily for help on how to migrate WordPress SQL databases over) and they were very helpful. One of the times, the support team actually did it for me! I was really amazed at that as not many hosting companies would do that. However you most likely wont even need to contact their support as their hosting options are really easy to figure out.
So those are the reasons I really love HostMonster. I wanted to add this article to your website as Hostmonster is often underrated.
